Gitarrenbauer Rinaldo Vacca 2025 No 348 – Italien

This is an all-Italian lattice by a world-renowned master luthier building guitars with a pure traditional sound. For this guitar, Rinaldo has used a torrified spruce top that has undergone a high-temperature firing process in an oxygen-free environment to clean the wood of impurities and make the top stiffer, more stable, and lighter, giving it the sound of a 50+-year-old top. The back and sides are of Royal Blackwood (which is purple heart treated with ammonium gas, which penetrates the wood fibres and releases the tannin, turning it black). The guitar is beautifully overdriven without carbon or balsa.
There are a lot of excellent luthiers in Italy, however, most of them are building traditional spruce guitars. We are happy to list one of the very rare Italian luthiers making fantastic lattice braced guitars. The guitar is very much different from an Australian lattice. Here there is no balsa, no carbon, just wood.
